I was beyond thrilled to be approached by the fantastic Zara Ansar of Ottawa Velo Vogue for a photo shoot featuring my bicyclette. If you don’t know about Zara’s velo blog, it’s one of my favourite fashion blogs in the city. With an equal mix of Ottawa (velo) street style and snaps of the quirky Zara herself- you’re bound to find style inspiration on her blog.
The vintage CCM cruiser pictured in this shoot is near and dear to my heart. Lucky for me I purchased two Elans (pictured below) as as team, and now I have matching “his & hers” bikes.
For this shoot I really wanted to feature this epic lilac bush that grows right behind the National Gallery of Canada. Lucky for me I was able to work with the super talented Asha Binti Kingombe at Holt Renfrew’s Ottawa location to pick out the exact feminine look to compliment this shoot. My shirt and blouse are from Canadian label Pink Tartan and my silver laceups are from Dune London which I snapped up at The Hudson’s Bay Company.
