I’m such a lucky gal to be able to work with other Ottawa creative types who allow my ideas to come to life. These people often take my obscure visions and make them a beautiful reality. One of these lovely people is local photographer and SPAO alumnus, Zachary Pantalone.
Zac is someone that continues to inspire me, constantly pushing me to see things from a different perspective and teaching me more and more about photography. I absolutely adore seeing his projects come together, especially when it involves food and fashion. It’s clear why we get along! It’s hard to imagine his passion for photography all started with his dad’s old camera and being recruited to shoot concerts for Byward of Mouth. Today he’s the co-founder and director of photography for the Ottawa-based fashion blog Corpo Collective, amongst other great work.
If you haven’t seen his photographs yet, I urge you to check out his solo show “Still Life” at Exposure Gallery. Zac pays homage to Rothko’s works using familiar foods as his ‘paint’. Mouthwatering indeed!
Make sure to soak up his feature in the Citizen too. Congrats friend!
